Tring · Loft conversions

Loft conversion in Tring

The whole roof came off this house. Steels were threaded through the original brickwork to carry a new attic floor, rooms were built out in the space above, a staircase was put in to reach them, and a completely new roof went back on over the top.

A rear extension on a red-brick house, built from the ground up: foundation brickwork matched to the existing walls, a suspended beam-and-block floor, and a steel beam let into the back wall to open the house into the new room.

A two-storey brick house with dormer windows, built from the ground up near Aylesbury, with a single-storey range across the back — cavity walls in brick and block, structural steel over the wide openings, and a cut roof put together on site.

These are the jobs we have written up so far, and more are being added as the photographs are sorted and the details confirmed with the family. Ken Harrison started the firm over fifty years ago and his son Michael runs it now, so there is a very long tail of work behind what is on this page.
