Building services across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire
Most builders hand you a list of numbers to ring — an architect, a structural engineer, a groundworker, an electrician. We do the whole job as one firm, with one point of contact from the first drawing to the last coat of paint.
Every line of work we handle
All of it in-house or coordinated by us — you never have to chase a trade, hold a schedule together or work out whose job something was.
Architecture, design & planning
We take your idea through drawings, design and planning permission — the whole start of the journey, handled in-house.
New builds
Ground-up homes and commercial builds, project-managed end to end — up to multi-million-pound projects.
Extensions & alterations
Single & double-storey extensions, structural alterations and refurbishments that add real space and value.
More about extensions & alterations →Loft conversions
Rooflight, dormer or a full roof rebuild — attic space turned into rooms you'd actually want to sleep in, staircase included.
More about loft conversions →Demolition & groundworks
Safe demolition, site clearance and groundworks to prepare the ground for whatever comes next.
Mechanical & electrical
Heating, plumbing, electrical and air conditioning — all coordinated by us, no juggling separate trades.
Decoration & finishing
Bricklaying, plastering, landscaping and decorating — the finishing trades that make a build feel like home.
One firm for the whole job
The reason we work this way is that the gaps between trades are where projects go wrong. A drawing that never quite fits what the ground allows, a steel ordered to the wrong length, an electrician arriving the day after the plasterer — none of it is anyone’s fault in particular, which is exactly the problem when you are the one holding the schedule together.
So we take the lot: the drawings and the planning application, the demolition and groundworks, the structure, the heating, plumbing and electrics, and the finishing trades. Every subcontractor is ours to book and ours to chase. You get one number, one schedule and one firm answerable for the result — and, from the day work starts, the KWH app, where every quote, invoice, photo and stage of your job is shared with you as it happens.
Ken Harrison started the business over fifty years ago and his son Michael runs it now. It has been the same family, working the same way, for the whole of that.
How big a job?
From a patio or a structural opening through extensions and loft conversions to ground-up new builds and multi-million-pound commercial projects. Small jobs are worth asking about — a good number of them turn into the bigger one a year later, and we would rather be the firm you already trust when that comes round.
